Hydroponic Phytoremediation of Ni, Co, and Pb by Iris Sibirica L.

Heavy metal pollution in mine wastelands is quite severe. Iris sibirica L., an emergent wetland plant, characterized by ability to survive under high stress of heavy metals. This study aimed explore the phytoremediation nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), and lead (Pb) L. hydroponic conditions. A series tests were conducted at different conditions evaluate phytoextraction tolerance The concentrations Ni, Co, Pb plant shoots reached their highest values 500 mg L−1 treatments, where they 6.55%, 23.64%, 79.24% higher than those 300 L−1, respectively. same roots also peak 5.52%, 33.02%, 70.15% Bioconcentration factors (BCF) for revealed translocation (TCF) showed that Ni may be most easily translocated followed Co Pb. indicates that, compared with more suitable Pb-contaminated wastelands.
